With the release of the 80-figure Harbinger set in 2003, Wizards of the Coast launched the Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures line. Figures in this line did double-duty as roleplaying miniatures and as part of the D&D Miniatures Game. The line continued through both the 3rd and 4th editions of the game until it was retired in 2010 in favor of the Dungeon Command miniatures game which in turn ended in 2012.
