Building on the polularity of their Dungeons and Dragons miniatures line, Wizards of the Coast began producing a line of miniatures based in the Star Wars universe in 2004. Figures were drawn from the first six Star Wars movies, the Clone Wars animated series, and various expanded universe sources such as video games and comic books. Like their D&D counterparts, figures in this line could be used for roleplaying or as part of their own miniatures skirmish game. The line was retired after the release of Masters of the Force in 2010.
