Crowdsourcing information/images

Keeping this site up to date takes a lot of your time, I suspect. Would it be helpful at all if you could crowdsource some of the information? I'm thinking mostly of photos in the few places where you might be missing them, but as the site grows and you possibly incorporate more information about sets or specific minis, the community could lend a hand.

I have a small "light tent" for photographing small products, and would be willing to help if you asked. I'm sure other site members would too.

Anyway, if you need something, let us know.

I'd be happy to assist as well if necessary. My only problem is I have all my Heroscape, Horrorclix, Heroclix, etc. rebased to fit my Pathfinder and D & D minis!

Thanks, guys! I think there will be some opportunities for you to help in the coming year, so I'll keep you posted.

Hey Chris:
I currently have 4137 different pre-painted minis from various places. That only states different minis. If I added up ALL my minis it's now around 15,000, but I don't count anymore as it makes me feel like I should stop, which I don't really want to!

Sounds like our collections are pretty similar in size. How do you handle storage?

STORAGE! Well, I've done pretty well so far, but I do anticipate a point in time when I just can't store anymore. Tomorrow I'm putting away my Christmas decorations and that means going through my storage room and eliminating unneeded things. I hope I'll gain some space from this!!

I maintain all my minis in big plastic organizers obtained from Home Depot. These organizers have four rows with 5 large square sections in each row. I number each storage container (right now I have 39) and each section within is identified. For example, if I have a Kobold Warrior I have him listed as being in Storage Box #11, Row 1, Section 3. That means if I pull out Storage Box #11 (which is labeled with a big white sticker as #11), I can look at row 1 and then count across to section 3 and find that mini. I have an Excel Sheet which has every single mini listed with the Box # and the section they are in. I can find any mini I need in less than a minute. The only real problem is that I'm running out of space in my basement storage area here in Staten Island, NY! Space is a tough and expensive thing here, but my storage plan does work very well ! I put the larger minis in the bottom two sections and simply call them Box #11/Left or Right depending on where I put the mini. I also have some where the inserts can be removed so that sections can be made larger. I've included a link to a similar item I use. The one in the Pic is not the exact type I typically use, but very similar. In truth I've had to use these recently as the original ones with the removable "walls" seem to have been discontinued.
